The band's ledger
Renown
3 / 10
Renown reflects how well the band is known across the Ten Towns. Bumped up or down by the DM as the story warrants.
Gigs 8
Gig #8: Uphill Climb (late set)
Caer Dineval
· Session 5: Makes House Party look like House Party 2
The night-cap gig for a nearly-empty tavern — only a four-person table of priests remained. Dreadie opened with his bardic promise 'as long as one person is around, Dreadie Mercurie needs to make sure they have a good time.' Scales jumped on a table and started grinding on his saxophone until a priestess visibly went unchaste. Roadie passed guidance plus a bardic inspiration into Scales' performance check. The priestess asked Scales and Rico upstairs. Scales replied 'oh dear, let's just take everybody.' Session ended before cleanup.
Gig #7: Denev's Rest (impromptu house-party exorcism)
Caer Dineval
· Session 5: Makes House Party look like House Party 2
Roadie's self-booked 'house-party-as-exorcism' blowout. Two kegs on top of the Chuggy Pig, 240 beers at 1 sp each sold to the entire adult population of Caer Dineval, parade through town, dump the crowd into the abandoned Denev's Rest while the band fights the Sunblight Duergar upstairs. The crowd peaked somewhere around Woodstock '99: a militia man beaten to death, a Mind Master pummeled apart with bare hands, an eleven-year-old boy devouring a Duergar, a middle-aged woman topless screaming 'anarchy.' Scales snorted a bar line and took his pants off. Dreadie Color Sprayed to escape. Roadie saw Dreadwurst in the crowd and nearly relapsed before Dreadie's bone-pick test called him back. The ghosts were in fact Duergar — close enough. Rourke paid out anyway. 'This makes House Party look like House Party 2.'
Gig #6: Uphill Climb (preview set)
Caer Dineval
· Session 5: Makes House Party look like House Party 2
The band's unpaid daytime preview song at the Uphill Climb before the Denev's Rest 'exorcism.' Dreadie opened by catching a frog in his throat (DM: 'it's a cherry stem — god damn it'). Kaldur magecrafted his bass for an extra d6 and still fell flat on his roll. Scales got a 20 performance check that pulled it level. The crowd was politely confused ('what's that, jazz?') and started dispersing to follow Roadie's traveling beer-cart conga outside.
Gig #5: East Haven prison yard
East Haven
· Session 4: We Didn't Start the Fire
Double burning — Dzan the Red Wizard and William O. Cosby. 200-person crowd, biggest show the band has played. Enjee locked a four-on-the-floor pocket, Natty straddled a cannon mid-set in Cher-on-the-Battleship pose with Scales' Faerie Fire glowing her orc backside pink/violet, Dreadie debuted 'Fat Bottom Orcs,' Rico cast a Dancing-Lights crescent moon over the pyre, and Cosby's +13 charisma made both prisoners' death-screams actually harmonize. Mid-set Roadie flashed back to Lich-Brisket days, took a cursed pick from an undead Adidas-hooligan, transformed into a Dreadwurst-flavored shredder for a two-minute solo nobody could locate, then dropped the pick and reverted. Band crit the show; Havel reports gigs now pouring in across the Ten Towns.
Gig #4: Wet Trout
East Haven
· Session 3: By the Power of William Moon
Rico's Chaos Wolf debut. Scales opened blackout drunk on Aurel's Tears with 'pussy-breath' experimental jazz that cratered the meter; Enjee dragged it back on drums; Rico harmonized over Scales' discordance on a nat-20; Scales closed with a critical tenor-sax note that sang like a clarinet. Standing ovation. Roadie tripped mid-set, hallucinated undead Adidas-hooligans and reverse-stage-dived through a wall. Nemitra, the silver-dragonborn owner, ate the smashed window from Kaldur's Samantha rescue in stride. Band name announced as 'Chaos Wolf,' spelled Q-H-A-O-S V-U-L-F.
Gig #3: White Lady Inn
East Haven
· Session 2: Shearing the Wolf
Rico spent the set naked from the waist up with a warped guitar after a gorilla-panic bad trip; Dreadie's nat-20 Freddie-Mercury entrance and Kaldur's ZZ-Top strut kept the crowd on board.
Gig #2: Cairn's Crossing
East Haven
Pre-recording. Second gig — also from the unrecorded early sessions.
Gig #1: Ten Towns Travelers Inn
Bryn Shander
Pre-recording. The band's first gig — played before Craig was recording sessions.
